Bio
SBTRKT (pronounced "subtract") is the anonymity-focused project of English producer and songwriter Aaron Jerome, a self-taught London musician who blends dubstep, 2-step, garage, house, soul and techno into bass-heavy tracks built on flowing melodies and intricate percussion. He emerged in the late 2000s with BBC radio hits like 2009's "Nervous" and became known for frequent collaborations with singer Sampha and remixes of artists such as M.I.A. and Radiohead. His 2011 self-titled debut, released on Young Turks, was named album of the year by DJ Magazine, and he performed wearing ceremonial-style masks to keep the focus off his identity
