Bio
Tribal Seeds was formed in 2005 in San Diego by brothers Steven Rene Jacobo (vocals, guitar) and Tony-Ray Jacobo (keyboards, production), bringing a roots-oriented approach to contemporary reggae. The band draws on 1970s roots reggae, citing influences like Black Uhuru, Peter Tosh, and Bob Marley, while infusing modern production and rock elements. Their 2014 album Representing became a breakthrough, spending 66 weeks on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart and peaking at number one.
