Bio
Tropa Magica is a psychedelic-cumbia-punk band formed in 2018 by East Los Angeles brothers David and Rene Pacheco, who previously performed as Thee Commons. Their music blends 1960s Peruvian cumbia guitar and rhythms with 1990s grunge and a psychedelic twist, drawing on their Mexican-American roots and the LA punk scene. They renamed the project Tropa Magica so it would translate for Spanish-speaking family and fans
