Widespread Panic is an American jam band that formed in Athens, Georgia, in the early 1980s around vocalist John Bell, guitarist Mike Houser, and bassist Dave Schools. Known for lengthy improvisational live shows and near-constant touring, the group released its debut album Space Wrangler and became one of the most popular jam bands to emerge in the 1990s.
