The experience
What's special
A free downtown Fairfield summer festival celebrating Solano County tomatoes and vineyards. Tomato Alley, produce tastings and an eating contest share the programme with wine and beer gardens, two stages, ten bands, a car show and children’s activities
What people love
The tomato theme is unusually hands-on: visitors can taste varieties, buy tomatoes, watch preservation demonstrations and join food-centred activities rather than encountering produce only as decoration
