What's special
Allston DIY Fest was a free, all-ages, donation-based community festival in Ringer Park built around a do-it-yourself, anti-commercial punk and indie ethos. Two stages -- one electric (at times bike-generator powered), one acoustic -- ran alongside workshops, skillshares, a "really free market," and local art, record, and zine vendors, all organized on a volunteer, non-hierarchical basis by neighborhood organizers

The most recent confirmed edition -- the festival's fourth annual staging -- was scheduled for August 24 in Ringer Park after the city's parks department reversed an earlier permit denial tied to noise and parking complaints from prior years.
