What's special
Anime Boston marks its 25th anniversary with the 2027 edition, running May 27 to 30 at the Hynes Convention Center in Boston; badge pickup happens at the nearby Sheraton Hotel. The current Initial pricing tier, open until January 1, 2027, is $117.23 for a 3-Day adult badge including the processing fee, rising on a three-step ladder to $133.17; Youth (ages 6-12) pays about 73 percent of the adult base rate, and Child (5 and under) is free throughout. New for 2027 is AB Ultra, a limited-quantity premium membership at $266 with the fee, layered on top of a standard badge with access to the convention's AB Spotlight digital game experience. All prop weapons must be inspected and peace-bonded every day at checkpoints staffed by MCCA Public Safety and Boston Police at every Hynes entrance; real weapons are banned regardless of functionality. Only Dealers' Room and Artists' Alley exhibitors may sell goods on site, as required by Massachusetts law. Accessibility stickers grant priority security-line access and advanced seating for major events
