What's special
The Asheville Celtic Festival is a winter Celtic festival held at the Western North Carolina Agricultural Center in Fletcher, just south of Asheville in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. It has combined live Celtic music, Highland Games heavy athletics, pipe and drum bands, border collie herding, armored sword fighting, whisky tasting and a hall of Celtic vendors and crafts, drawing more than 4,000 attendees at its peak

The most recent edition on record ran February 17 to 18, 2024, expanded to two days at the agricultural center, with live Celtic music from bands including Albannach and Syr, heavy games, sheep dog demonstrations and vendors. The organizing group later announced it would not produce the festival
