The Colorado Renaissance Festival recreates the 16th-century village of Larkspurshire on eight summer weekends between Denver and Colorado Springs, a medieval amusement park with master artisans, three daily jousting-and-combat tournaments, and a rotating slate of themed weekends from a Pirates Invasion and a Celtic weekend to a wine-and-revelry Grape Stomp and a Children's weekend. Parking is free and costumes are welcome. The 2026 season was its 49th, and the festival has announced a return in June 2027 for its 50th anniversary.

Do I need a costume?
Dressing up is welcome but entirely optional, regulars say themes aren't strongly enforced and the crowd runs from plain clothes to pirates, fairies, and fantasy costumes, with cast and fellow attendees quick to compliment out-of-theme outfits.
