No station in Stevenson. The Empire Builder's Portland section stops at Bingen-White Salmon, WA (station code BNG, unstaffed), roughly 20 miles east of Stevenson on the same WA-14 corridor one train daily each direction. Skamania County Transit picks up at the Bingen Park & Ride (just west of the Hood River bridge) at 7:09am weekdays for the ride to Stevenson, so the train mainly suits attendees arriving from the east (Spokane and beyond) or connecting via Portland Union Station; from PDX airport itself, transit or rideshare is more direct

Three-leg all-transit route from PDX: (1) MAX Red Line from PDX Airport to Gateway Transit Center (TriMet adult 2.5-hour ticket $2.80); (2) Columbia Gorge Express bus from Gateway Transit Center to Cascade Locks, OR ($10 one-way, runs 7 days a week, roughly hourly daytime departures); (3) Skamania County Transit across the Bridge of the Gods from Cascade Locks to downtown Stevenson ($2 one-way exact cash for rides starting outside Skamania County; per gorgepass.com/stevenson a documented weekday connection is the 6:50am CGE from Gateway meeting the 8:04am Skamania bus, arriving Stevenson Central 8:17am). Alternative WA-side routing: C-TRAN from Portland/Vancouver to Fisher's Landing Transit Center, then Skamania County Transit (Gorge WET) direct to downtown Stevenson weekday departures 7:11am, 10am, 12:20pm and 1:30pm, about 1 hour to Stevenson Central; seasonal May 1, Oct 15 service adds four runs a day on Saturday and Sunday, which covers the late-July festival weekend. The $40/year adult Gorge Pass ($20 under 17) covers unlimited rides on all four Gorge systems including Columbia Gorge Express and Skamania County Transit (not TriMet). Fairgrounds are a short walk from downtown Stevenson across the Rock Creek footbridge

Direct door-to-door PDX to Stevenson (~45 miles via I-84 and Bridge of the Gods, or WA-14). Uber's own route page lists an average price of $91 for PDX-Stevenson plus a $2 surcharge on trips to/from PDX airport and applicable tolls. Both Uber and Lyft operate in the Portland metro; Stevenson is a small town, so driver availability for the return pickup is thinner than in Portland allow extra wait time or schedule the return ride ahead
