By car
Most people drive to Deadwood Jam. The nearest major airport is RAP, and from there it is a straightforward drive to the venue. Check current road and traffic conditions before you set off, and see parking below.
By train
No direct passenger rail to the venue was found. Drive, fly in, or use a shuttle instead.
By bus & public transit
There is NO scheduled public-transit link between RAP and Deadwood treat this mode as marginal. Prairie Hills Transit, the rural public-transit agency for the Northern Hills, runs $10-one-way demand-response trips between Deadwood/Lead and Rapid City (city, not the airport; limited days Deadwood-area Rapid City runs operate on the first and third Fridays of the month, and rides must be booked by phone/online at least 24 hours ahead). It is oriented to medical/shopping trips, not air travelers. Once IN Deadwood, the city-run Deadwood Trolley loops the hotels, parking lots and Main Street for $2/ride or $8/day pass that part is genuinely useful during the festival

NOT a festival- or venue-run shuttle Deadwood Jam operates no official airport shuttle. What actually exists is a cluster of small pre-reservation airport-shuttle and cab operators based in Lead/Deadwood/Rapid City that run RAP-to-Deadwood door-to-door on demand. Black Hills Shuttle's own site confirms 'our Airport runs to and from Rapid City and Spearfish Airports' serving Deadwood/Lead/Terry Peak; Rapid City Regional Airport's official transportation directory lists Rapid Express Shuttle, Giddy-Up and Go Shuttle, Apex Transportation and others. All are advance-reservation phone-first operations, not walk-up counters book before you fly

Uber, Lyft and local operator Wridz all serve RAP per the airport's official transportation page, and Uber's own airport page confirms coverage of longer trips such as Deadwood. The catch is the return leg: driver density in Deadwood itself is thin the 1899 Inn (a Deadwood B&B) warns of Lyft that 'there aren't many drivers in the system yet, and it can be difficult to secure a ride.' Fine for the airport-to-Deadwood inbound ride; do not count on hailing an app ride back to RAP on a Sunday morning without a pre-booked backup (see the shuttle entry)

On site parking available. Cost Free festival no festival-operated parking; you use the City of Deadwood's normal public parking. Outlaw Square's own directions page lists ~1,700 city spaces within walking distance: FREE lots at Sherman Street (280 spaces, trolley-served), the Welcome Center (219 spaces, north end of town, trolley-served) and the Deadwood Event Complex (339 spaces, public transit-served), plus metered options including the covered Main Street Garage (411 spaces, 7'2" height limit) and Upper Main Street (105 spaces). Meters take quarters or card via the Passport Parking app. Note the free Sherman Street lot explicitly bans unattached trailers and overnight camping. Main Street itself closes around the square for the event arrive early on the Saturday, park in a free lot, and use the $2 trolley or walk. Prepay via Passport Parking app (metered city spaces only no festival prepay portal exists).

Neither the festival nor the venue publishes an accessibility statement, ADA or wheelchair information, accessible parking spaces, accessible toilets, accessible viewing, a companion or carer ticket policy, ASL provision, a quiet space, or any description of the ground surface at Outlaw Square. The Outlaw Square Directions and Parking page lists many public parking lots in Deadwood with space counts and payment methods but never identifies accessible spaces; where it uses the word accessible it means reachable by a vehicle type, not accessible parking.
