By car
Most people drive to Fillmore Jazz Festival. The nearest major airport is SFO, and from there it is a straightforward drive to the venue. Check current road and traffic conditions before you set off, and see parking below.
By train
No direct passenger rail to the venue was found. Drive, fly in, or use a shuttle instead.
By bus & public transit
The festival's own parking/transit page spells out the route: 'Nearest BART: Civic Center, take the 38, or Embarcadero, take the 1 California.' From SFO, ride BART (Yellow Line toward Antioch, no transfer) to Civic Center, then the 38 Geary or 38R Geary Rapid bus west the 38 'runs along Geary Blvd, one block south of the festival.' Alternative: BART to Embarcadero, then the 1 California to the top (Jackson St) end of the footprint. Muni lines 22 and 38 stop right on Fillmore normally; on festival weekend the 22 is rerouted one block over to Steiner for the length of the footprint and the 1/38/38R may run with minor delays (SFMTA event-service page)

Uber and Lyft both operate at SFO from designated pickup zones (domestic-side parking garage levels; follow airport signage from baggage claim), and SFO adds a $5.50 rideshare pickup surcharge to every fare. Regulated taxis pick up curbside at marked zones. On festival days Fillmore itself is closed from Eddy to Jackson (plus Washington/Post cross-block segments) from 2 a.m. Saturday to 11:59 p.m. Sunday, so expect drop-off a block or two off the corridor Geary Blvd, Steiner, or Webster
