What's special
The Fresno Tattoo Expo is a long-running Central Valley tattoo show held at Table Mountain Casino in Friant, just northeast of Fresno. It brings together more than 150 tattoo artists and dozens of shops from across California and beyond, with a tattoo contest judged in categories such as black and gray, color, traditional and best of show. Walk-up tattoos are a central part of the weekend, and admission is $10 for a day or $25 for three days. Because the venue sits on tribal land, artists work under Tribal Council rules and must keep bloodborne pathogen certification and a county tattoo license at their booth
What happens on the floor
Pieces go on in the open, start to finish. You can watch, and talk to artists between clients.
