The Helena Valley Highland Gathering is Montana's capital-city celebration of Scottish, Irish and Celtic heritage, held each July at the East Helena Rodeo Grounds. Run by the Helena Highlanders Association, the day combines SAAA-sanctioned heavy athletics and cabers with the Pipes and Drums of the Black Devils, Irish dancing, clan tents and a parade of the clans, live Celtic music from Montana bands, a mead tasting and a full vendor village
