What's special
The Helena Valley Highland Gathering is Montana's capital-city celebration of Scottish, Irish and Celtic heritage, held each July at the East Helena Rodeo Grounds. Run by the Helena Highlanders Association, the day combines SAAA-sanctioned heavy athletics and cabers with the Pipes and Drums of the Black Devils, Irish dancing, clan tents and a parade of the clans, live Celtic music from Montana bands, a mead tasting and a full vendor village

Clans & genealogy
Clan tents host a grand entry and introduction of the clans, with attending clans including Clan Davidson, Clan Donald, Clan Donnachaidh, Clan Keith, Clan Buchanan and Clan Wallace, connecting visitors with Scottish and Celtic family history
