HiJinx Festival

HiJinx Festival is Philadelphia's indoor New Year's weekend electronic-music event, staged over two late-December nights inside the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Center City. It is built around a single large main stage and heavy bass-leaning production rather than multiple stages or festival side-attractions, with vendors, art and food inside one big hall. Its downtown location makes it walkable from hotels and easy to pair with a city trip, and it is frequently recommended as a good first indoor festival

Attendees repeatedly praise how spacious the room feels, saying they can go deep into the crowd or find open space in the back and still hear well, and they value the central Philadelphia location, the friendly crowd, the light show and production, and the affordability. GA+ and VIP upgrades (priority entry, an included locker, free merch and a lounge) are called worthwhile. Recurring complaints are extreme volume, with many urging earplugs, limited food variety, a cold back-of-room and hard concrete floor, and long entry lines at peak times
