What happened to Jamboree in the Hills?
Live Nation, which had run the festival since 2004, announced in November 2018 that Jamboree in the Hills would go on hiatus for 2019 "while we consider options regarding the future of the Belmont County, OH festival site" (per Saving Country Music). No edition has been held since. Live Nation subsequently sold the roughly 210-acre site to the Barack family for $1.3 million, and Belmont County's commission president said, "We'd always hoped that the Jamboree would come back some day, but it became pretty clear that that was never going to happen" (WTOV9).
