Levitation is Austin's long-running psychedelic-music festival, descended from the original Austin Psych Fest and known for a genre-spanning bill of psych rock, punk, metal, darkwave, indie and electronic acts. For years it ran as a multi-venue crawl across downtown clubs and outdoor spaces; the 2025 edition consolidated at the Palmer Events Center, while the organizers also stage a spring Austin Psych Fest at South Austin's oak-shaded Far Out Lounge. It is prized as a devout, deep-cut alternative to Austin's bigger mainstream festivals
