AthFest is a free, three-day music and arts festival held every June in the streets of historic downtown Athens, Georgia. Its core is three free outdoor stages of local and regional live music, wrapped around a block-long Artist Market of visual artists, artisans and makers and a dedicated KidsFest area for younger attendees. After the outdoor stages wrap on Friday and Saturday nights, a ticketed Club Crawl unlocks lineups of local acts across a dozen downtown music venues and clubs. The whole event is a fundraiser: proceeds go to the nonprofit AthFest Educates, which awards grants supporting K-12 music and arts education in Athens-Clarke County. Now in its 28th year, it is widely regarded locally as the busiest and most celebratory weekend of the Athens summer
