The experience
What's special
The Manassas Latino Festival bills itself as the oldest Hispanic/Latino, family-centric festival in its area, a free annual event held during Hispanic Heritage Month at the open-air Harris Pavilion in Historic Old Town Manassas, Virginia. Run by the nonprofit Sambos USA, it celebrates the cultural heritage and contributions of the Latin American community with live music, dance performances, diverse foods, and family activities, with free admission and free parking
Last time around (2025)
The 2025 festival went ahead in September even as some other regional Latino events were canceled amid concerns about immigration-enforcement activity; organizers emphasized the importance of celebrating the community and not letting fear keep families away. Local reporting covered the decision to proceed as a point of community pride

Getting there
How do I get to Manassas Latino Festival?
By car
Most people drive to Manassas Latino Festival. Check current road and traffic conditions before you set off, and see parking below.
By train
Manassas has its own Amtrak station at 9431 West Street in Old Town within walking distance of the Harris Pavilion. Amtrak's Northeast Regional (Roanoke service), Cardinal and Crescent trains stop here and, unlike commuter rail, run on weekends, making this the practical rail option for a Saturday festival. It doesn't serve the IAD-airport leg directly (no rail link from IAD to Manassas), but it's ideal for attendees arriving by train from Washington DC, Charlottesville, Richmond or points south
Book / info →By bus & public transit
The Virginia Railway Express (VRE) Manassas Line shares the Old Town Manassas station and is a great weekday connection to DC but VRE does not operate on weekends, so it will not serve a Saturday festival day. From IAD itself, WMATA's Silver Line Metrorail reaches DC/Tysons but does not extend toward Manassas. Noting both so the long-tail transit question is answered: for a weekend event, use Amtrak or rideshare, not VRE
Book / info →Taxi & rideshare
Washington Dulles International (IAD) is the closest major airport to Manassas, roughly 20-25 miles north with no single-seat transit link to Old Town rideshare or taxi is the practical door-to-door option straight to the Harris Pavilion area. Rideshare pickup is marked at IAD's Curb Level
Book / info →Taxis and rideshare such as Uber and Lyft can be limited near the venue, especially late at night or in rural areas. Agree a pickup point and time in advance and keep a backup plan.
🅿 Parking
On site parking available. Old Town Manassas has public parking lots and a garage within a short walk of the Harris Pavilion, plus the VRE/Amtrak station lots at 9431 West Street. Commuter station lots require a free permit on weekdays but are generally open on weekends, when this festival is held; on-street and municipal Old Town parking is typically free on weekends too. Arrive earlier for a popular single-day festival, since the compact Old Town core fills. Confirm any event-day street closures around Center Street
🚙 Car hire
Compare car hire
A rental suits fly-in attendees, since there's no direct transit from IAD to Manassas and the region (Northern Virginia, DC, Shenandoah) is spread out. For the festival itself, Old Town Manassas is walkable and Amtrak-served, so a car is optional if you're basing in town

Manassas and the surrounding Prince William County suburbs have moderate short-stay inventory, including homes within a short drive of Old Town a good group value versus the Battlefield-corridor chain hotels, and handy if you want to be walkable to the historic core. A single-Saturday festival in the DC exurbs shouldn't cause dramatic surge pricing, but book a walkable Old Town unit early. Link points to the Manassas Airbnb search
Search Airbnb →No camping at this Old Town pavilion event. Hipcamp inventory near Manassas is out in the rural Prince William/Fauquier countryside and toward the Blue Ridge foothills (~30-60 min drive): private-land tent sites, farm stays and glamping for attendees pairing the weekend with a Northern Virginia/Shenandoah outdoors trip, not a walkable lodging substitute. Accessibility & comfort
What the organiser or venue publishes about getting around, and what they do not.
Checked the official one page site in full on 3 Sep 2026. It publishes no accessibility statement, no terrain or surface description, no accessible parking or drop off detail, no accessible toilet or viewing information and no companion ticket policy. It says only that admission and parking are free and that the venue is the open air Loy E. Harris Pavilion, 9201 Center Street, Manassas VA, in Historic Downtown Manassas. The organiser genuinely publishes nothing, but the venue policy is unread rather than absent, and the difference matters: harrispavilion.com does not connect at all, the server refuses the connection, so that site appears to be offline rather than blocking us. The Manassas tourism listing at visitmanassas.org loads but carries no accessibility content. Retry the manassasva.gov page from a different network before concluding the city publishes nothing. Organiser contact for access questions is the general enquiries line (703) 981-7389, the WhatsApp link on the site, or the site contact form
Confirm your specific needs with the organiser's access team before you travel.
