The McMinnville Scottish Festival is a two-day Scottish festival and Highland Games held each October at the Yamhill County Fairgrounds in the heart of Oregon's Willamette Valley wine country. Presented by the nonprofit Celtic Heritage Alliance, the weekend brings together caber-tossing heavy athletics from novice to TITAN class, massed pipe bands, solo piping and drumming, Highland dancing, a clan alley with the Kirkin' o' the Tartan, Highland coos, sheepherding demonstrations and a British car show

Heavy athletics
Highland Games heavy athletics run both Saturday and Sunday across many classes, from novice up to the TITAN class, with well-known events including the caber toss and the sheaf toss
Pipe bands & Highland dance
The festival hosts a Solo Bagpipe and Drum Competition, a Pipe Band Competition and a Highland Dance Competition of Premier and Pre-Premier dances, with massed bands closing each day
Clans & genealogy
A clan alley brings together dozens of clan representatives to help visitors explore their heritage and family history, and the festival hosts the Kirkin' o' the Tartan on Sunday morning
Taking part
Alongside the field the festival adds sheepherding demonstrations with herding dogs, Highland Coo pet-and-photo visits, Caesar the No Drama Llama, a British car show, a Scotch tasting, a fiddle workshop, and living-history recreations of the Renaissance era by Society for Creative Anachronism members
