What to eat & drink
The organiser points guests to a Food Finder tool filterable by 'Value Items ($5 and Under)' and to discounted refills with a Minnesota State Fair Souvenir Cup, but no single named signature dish is called out in the specific pages captured in this pass (a dedicated New Foods page exists but was not captured). BYO food and non-alcoholic beverages are explicitly allowed onto the fairgrounds, with water refill stations located throughout.
The experience
What's special
The Minnesota State Fair, known by its own trademarked nickname as the Great Minnesota Get-Together, runs a fixed twelve days every year from late August through Labor Day. Gate admission in 2026 cost $20 for adults, $18 for seniors and kids 5 to 12, and nothing for children 4 and under, and buys entry to the grounds, every exhibit building, the livestock barns and a full schedule of free entertainment stages; Grandstand concerts and Mighty Midway, Kidway and Adventure Park ride tickets are bought separately on top of that gate price. Five weekday discount dates each year lower adult, senior, kids or military admission further, and the fair's own Blue Ribbon Bargain Book adds coupon savings for five dollars. A 2 pm Daily Parade with a high school marching-band competition, 4-H and FFA livestock and horse shows at Lee and Rose Warner Coliseum and Compeer Arena, and hands-on family activities such as Math On-A-Stick fill the grounds alongside the fair's food, shopping and carnival midway. The fairgrounds also runs a dedicated Fraser Sensory Building and an accessibility programme covering mobility-equipment rental, captioned shows and a new blind and low-vision Human Guide Service
