The experience
What's special
The Reno Rodeo, billed by its organiser as the Wildest, Richest Rodeo in the West, is a 10-day PRCA and WPRA rodeo at the Nevada State Fairgrounds every June, opening with a Kickoff Concert and a multi-day cattle drive from Winnemucca Ranch and closing out ten nights of competition in bareback riding, steer wrestling, team roping, saddle bronc riding, tie-down roping, barrel racing, breakaway roping and bull riding. A $10 grounds pass covers the Carnival and midway for anyone not attending that night's rodeo performance; an actual rodeo seat is priced separately and sold through the organiser's own ticketing system rather than at a published flat rate. A free Kids' Day and a dedicated Special Kids' Rodeo for children with disabilities both run on the middle Sunday, alongside nightly Mutton Bustin' for young entrants and a Xtreme Bulls tour stop early in the week. The venue, a 43-acre fairgrounds complex formerly known as the Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center, seats more than 9,000 for the main rodeo arena alone
