The Seaside Highland Games is Southern California's premier Scottish festival on the Pacific Coast, held each October at the Ventura County Fairgrounds on the ocean in coastal Ventura, where the grounds are transformed into an immersive Scottish village. The weekend brings Scottish heavy athletics with the Highland Heavies, bagpiping, drumming and Highland dance competitions, three stages of live music, a Clan Row with honored clan societies, sheep herding dog demonstrations, a Harp Glen, a Children's Glen and a Friday-night Scottish Evening with a single malt tasting
