The experience

What's special

The Seattle International Latin Dance Festival is an annual weekend congress for social Latin dancers, held each October at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Seattle. It centers on high-level social dancing, workshops in salsa, bachata and other Latin styles taught by international instructors, and evening showcase performances by world-class artists, drawing dancers from around the region and beyond

Last time around (2025)

The most recent edition, the 7th annual, was held October 10-13, 2025 at the Renaissance Hotel in downtown Seattle, following the festival's established format of daytime workshops, all-night social dancing and evening showcase performances by international artists

By bus & public transit
Sound Transit Link Light Rail, 1 Line~38 min SEA to downtown, then a short walk to the venue Β· $3.00 one-way adult (free for riders 18 and under)

Seattle-Tacoma (SEA) is ~14 mi south. The Link 1 Line runs from SeaTac/Airport Station directly into downtown Seattle; ride to University Street/Symphony Station (or Pioneer Square Station) and it's a ~5-10 minute walk uphill to the Renaissance Seattle Hotel on Madison St. A complimentary Train-to-Plane shuttle / covered walkway connects the SEA terminal to the Link station

Taxi & rideshare
Uber, Lyft, licensed taxi~25-40 min to downtown, traffic-dependent Β· Roughly $40-60 SEA to downtown Seattle, demand-dependent

At SEA, rideshare pickup is consolidated on the 3rd floor of the parking garage (marked stalls 1-34, reached via the skybridge from baggage claim); licensed taxis have a separate curbside queue. Straight to the hotel door on Madison St

Book / info β†’

Taxis and rideshare such as Uber and Lyft can be limited near the venue, especially late at night or in rural areas. Agree a pickup point and time in advance and keep a backup plan.

πŸ…Ώ Parking

Cost Hotel self-park ~$66/day, valet ~$74/day (or ~$18/hour); nearby SpotHero garages are typically cheaper for all-day.

πŸš™ Car hire

Compare car hire

A downtown hotel-based festival with direct Link light rail from the airport, a hire car is NOT needed for the festival itself (and downtown parking is expensive). Only worth it for attendees pairing the trip with wider Washington/Pacific Northwest travel

Airbnb & private camping
Airbnb

Downtown Seattle, Capitol Hill, and Belltown have a large short-term-rental supply at typical big-city rates. Mid-October is shoulder season, so expect moderate rather than peak-summer pricing, though a room at or beside the host hotel is usually the more convenient choice for a late-night dance festival. General pattern note

Search Airbnb β†’
Hipcamp

Not a meaningful option for this event, it's an indoor, downtown, hotel-based dance festival; the nearest Hipcamp private-land sites are well outside the city (Cascade foothills / Kitsap Peninsula, 45+ minutes) and don't suit a late-night social-dance schedule
