Last time around (2024)
The 2024 edition (April 27) was headlined by System of a Down and Slipknot and was moved earlier in the calendar than the debut to dodge the worst of the heat. Organizers answered 2023's complaints with more shaded areas, towering misting fans, more water stations and new GA+ amenities such as air-conditioned bathroom trailers and a dedicated entry line; attendees still described lengthy entrance queues in the desert sun. By car
Most people drive to Sick New World. The nearest major airport is LAS, and from there it is a straightforward drive to the venue. Check current road and traffic conditions before you set off, and see parking below.
By train
No direct passenger rail to the venue was found. Drive, fly in, or use a shuttle instead.
By bus & public transit
Standard RTC public bus service from Harry Reid International reaches the Strip corridor (Routes 108/109) in the general direction of the Las Vegas Festival Grounds, but none of these routes stop directly at the venue itself the last mile from the nearest Strip stop is a walk or a short rideshare. The venue's own guidance (see below) treats monorail, walking, and rideshare as the three real options, not RTC bus
Book / info →The festival's own support content names the SAHARA Las Vegas monorail station as the closest stop to the Festival Grounds: use the monorail pedestrian bridge over Paradise Avenue to reach SAHARA Las Vegas, cut through the resort following signs for Las Vegas Blvd exits, cross the street and walk a short distance west into the fairgrounds. Monorail does not run to/from LAS airport directly attendees flying in would first get to a monorail station (e.g. via rideshare from LAS to a Strip resort) before riding it to SAHARA
