By car
Most people drive to Sonic Bloom. Check current road and traffic conditions before you set off, and see parking below.
By train
The Southwest Chief (Chicago-Los Angeles) stops daily in both directions at Trinidad, CO (110 West Pine Street) the same address as the Bustang Trinidad-Pueblo bus stop below, making a genuine (if long and indirect) train+bus combination possible: Amtrak into Trinidad, then Bustang north to Walsenburg, then the festival's own Walsenburg shuttle or a local ride the final ~25-30 min to the ranch. This is a real multi-leg option worth naming, not a practical single-step one most attendees will still fly or drive

A genuine but multi-transfer public-bus path exists: Bustang's South Line runs Denver Union Station to Colorado Springs Downtown Terminal (12 weekday / 6 weekend departures/day), from which a further connection reaches Pueblo Transit Center, then Bustang's separate Trinidad-Pueblo route stops at Walsenburg (400 Main St) but that last leg is Monday-Friday only with just two daily departures each way, so it does NOT reliably cover a weekend festival arrival/departure. Realistic mainly for a Thursday arrival; not a same-weekend round trip option

The festival's official third-party shuttle partner (FestDrive, operated by BusBank) runs round-trip motorcoach service from Illegal Pete's in downtown Denver (1530 16th St Ste 101) directly to a designated drop-off near the festival's main entrance, timed to the festival's opening/closing days. Requires a minimum passenger threshold to run. The specific dates in the fetched page (Thu/Mon) are from a past edition's schedule and should be re-verified for the actual 2027 dates once announced
Book / info →Separate from the Denver shuttle, the festival also runs local shuttle service from the nearby town of Walsenburg (about 25-30 min from the ranch) on the afternoon before and the morning after the festival useful for attendees who fly into a regional airport and arrange their own transport to Walsenburg, or who want to make a supply run. A Sunday shopping-shuttle round-trip to Walsenburg (~90 min depending on stops) has also historically been offered mid-festival

Parking is bundled with camping-pass type rather than sold as a standalone product: attendees with a Car Camping or RV/Oversized Vehicle Pass park directly at their campsite; everyone else is directed by festival stewards to a separate parking lot outside the ranch. Passes/decals are collected at the on-site box office. The final approach road is unpaved dirt, which is worth noting as its own access-condition fact distinct from parking cost

General/walk-in camping in open meadows and a shaded old-growth pine VIP camping area both exist alongside car/RV camping Terrain is uneven with sparse lighting per attendee packing-tip guides (headlamps repeatedly recommended), and the scrub-oak general campground offers limited natural shade
