The experience

What's special

The Spokane Scottish Highland Games is a one-day celebration of Scottish culture at the Spokane County Fair & Expo Center, run by the nonprofit Spokane Highland Games Association since the 1950s. Alongside traditional Highland athletics and the caber toss, the day brings piping and drumming, Highland and Scottish country dancing, clan tents, Highland cattle and Clydesdale horses, sheepherding, a Scots versus Irish tug of war and Celtic bands, with affordable admission and free parking

What people love

Competing athletes and visitors describe the Spokane games as a well-run, welcoming day, praising the range of cultural activities and the chance to see throwers from across the country try the heavy events. The affordable admission and free parking are a recurring draw

Last time around
