The experience
What's special
The Tattoo Arts & Crafts Fair is the Foundry Art Centre's third annual collaboration with Oasis Studio and Gallery, held inside the Foundry's historic former-industrial campus at 520 N. Main Center in St. Charles, Missouri. The organiser bills it as a boutique convention that blends tattooing with an arts-and-crafts market rather than a large trade-show style event: dozens of regional tattoo artists from shops such as Howdy Tattoo, Frenchtown Tattoo Co., Oakwood Tattoo and Amor Tattoo & Gallery work alongside independent makers selling prints, jewelry, apparel and ceramics. Visitors can book tattoo appointments directly with participating artists, subject to individual availability, browse flash art displays, or simply shop the craft vendors without getting tattooed at all. The weekend runs Friday afternoon through Sunday evening, with children 12 and under free alongside a paying adult, keeping the event family-friendly despite the tattoo focus. Because the Foundry is a working arts nonprofit rather than a convention center, the fair carries a smaller, community feel, with the venue's usual studio artists and gallery spaces part of the backdrop rather than cleared out for the occasion
