The draw is a free, walkable small-town street festival built around country ham hundreds of vendors, more than two dozen food booths, live music and a carnival that swells the town many times over each October. Attendees highlight the variety of food and the hometown atmosphere; the Ham & Biscuit Eating Contest and Kentucky's largest ham and biscuit are signature spectacles

The 49th annual festival ran in October 2025 in downtown Cadiz. Local coverage called it one of the best editions the community had seen, with vendors selling out and restocking mid-weekend and organisers noting ample parking; the 50th-anniversary edition follows October 9-10, 2026

Paducah (PAH, ~55 mi northwest) is a smaller, closer airport but with very limited commercial service
