Carroll Creek (Carroll Creek Linear Park)
Carroll Creek Linear Park runs between South Market and South Carroll Streets in downtown Frederick, built to host outdoor concerts, plays, school functions and city events. Any event serving beer, wine or alcohol needs a recommendation from the Parks and Recreation Commission to the City Council, a process that takes at least 60 days, plus a one-day permit from the county liquor board if alcohol is sold. Every event must also keep one ADA compliant path of pedestrian access open along the creek.

Getting there and parking
Parking for Carroll Creek is part of downtown Frederick parking. There is on-street parking throughout downtown, five public garages, and a city surface lot named for Carroll Creek. The MARC train lot is permit parking only.
The garages charge $1 an hour, up to $12 a day. They are wheelchair accessible with accessible spaces on every level, and four of them have EV charging. A vehicle with a valid handicap tag or hangtag can park at a regular meter for twice the metered time at no charge.
From Thanksgiving through New Year's Day, parking is free every weekend from 8am Saturday to 6am Monday.
Accessibility
Events at the park must keep one ADA compliant path of public pedestrian access open along the creek at all times; the path can switch sides as long as accessible access is maintained.
