A little history
The museum was founded in 1953 and now occupies the modern Ada Blanche Wrigley Schreiner Building; older materials call it the Catalina Island Museum. It runs an established programme of evening talks and community events, including Culture between Cocktails and First Fridays.
The Catalina Island Reggae Bash comes to the museum as a first-annual event on September 19, 2026, from 6pm to 10pm.
