A little history

Cracker Country is a living history museum on four acres of live oak trees at the fairgrounds. Its original structures, built in Florida between 1870 and 1912, were relocated from around the state, restored and furnished to show home life, transportation and commerce just before the turn of the 20th century.

The museum is open on select dates through the year and during the annual Florida State Fair. It is Tampa's only living history museum.
