Newport Classical was founded in 1969 as the Rhode Island Arts Foundation at Newport, Inc., and today runs a summer Music Festival, a year-round Chamber Series and free Community Concerts. The Recital Hall is the home of the Chamber Series and its workshops and gatherings.
It is also one of the venues of the Newport Classical Music Festival: the 2026 festival put 30 performances into 11 venues over 18 days, and the 58th festival runs July 1 to 18, 2027. Tickets are digital with no refunds, though unused tickets can be donated back for resale up to 90 minutes before a concert.
