The Canopy Club
The Canopy Club is an indoor music club at 708 S Goodwin Avenue in Urbana, on the edge of the University of Illinois campus, run as three venues in one: a small front bar room, the Small Hall, and the full Theater. You must be 18 or over to get in with a valid photo ID, 21 or over to drink, and under-21s pay a $3 surcharge. Parking is free after 5pm in the Krannert Center garage across the street.

Worth knowing before you go
- Everyone needs a valid photo ID to get in: a driver's licence, state ID, passport or military ID.
- Bags must be clear and no bigger than 8 by 8 inches; backpacks, camelbaks, flasks and any liquid container stay outside.
- Outside food and drink, coolers, chairs and umbrellas are all prohibited.
- The Krannert Center parking garage just north of the club is free after 5pm, so evening shows are the easy ones for parking.
- Some shows sell tickets at the door only, but a sold-out show sells nothing at the door.

Getting there and parking
From I-74, take the Lincoln Avenue exit (Exit 183) south towards Urbana and the University of Illinois, turn right on Green Street, then left on Goodwin Avenue; the club is on the left under its marquee. Free parking is across the street in the Krannert Center parking garage, just north of the club, after 5pm.
Advance tickets are sold at the Canopy Bar, Manolo's Pizza and Empanadas, Exile on Main Street and online, and will call is at the front desk inside the front doors with your photo ID. Mobile tickets are welcome with the screen brightness turned up.
Festival-specific · PYGMALIONThe festival recommends the Champaign-Urbana Mass Transit District (MTD) buses for getting to and between venues. If you drive, look for Mobile Meter parking around the venues, in the Krannert Center district and in downtown Urbana.
Accessibility
The main floor has wheelchair access to all public areas and service animals are permitted. For anything specific, the club asks you to get in touch ahead of time so they can accommodate you as best they can.

Food, water and what you can bring
Outside food and drink are prohibited, along with camelbaks, flasks and any other liquid containers, coolers, chairs and umbrellas. Backpacks and any bag larger than 8 by 8 inches are banned, and bags must be clear.
Also on the prohibited list: professional audio and video equipment, selfie sticks, laser pointers, glowsticks, balloons, beach balls, frisbees, airhorns and other noisemakers, signs or banners larger than 12 by 12 inches, skateboards, skates and scooters, confetti cannons and fireworks. Flow props such as hoops, staffs, poi, fans and juggling balls are allowed but may be restricted by capacity or event.

A little history
The Canopy Club opened in 1998 as downstate Illinois's home for live music and nightlife, booking everything from electronic and hip-hop to rock, country, jazz, funk and indie. The front room was redesigned in 2005 for local and regional Midwest acts, and the Theater stage has hosted Smashing Pumpkins, The Flaming Lips, Fall Out Boy, Snoop Dogg and Umphrey's McGee among others.
