The Academy of St Martin in the Fields is a London chamber orchestra founded in 1959 by Neville Marriner, which gave its debut as a small, conductorless string ensemble at the church of St Martin-in-the-Fields. It remains flexible in size to suit repertoire ranging from the Baroque to contemporary works and is one of the world's most-recorded orchestras, famed for its soundtrack to the film 'Amadeus.'
