Bio

Alabama Shakes is an American rock band formed in Athens, Alabama, in 2009, fronted by singer-guitarist Brittany Howard alongside guitarist Heath Fogg and bassist Zac Cockrell. Blending southern rock, blues, and soul, they earned wide acclaim for their 2012 debut Boys & Girls and won multiple Grammy Awards for their 2015 follow-up Sound & Color.
