Bio

Alash is a trio of master Tuvan throat singers (xöömei) from the Republic of Tuva in Inner Asia, named after a river in the region. The ensemble carries traditional Tuvan music forward while subtly incorporating modern influences, and its members have won top honors at Tuva's international throat-singing competitions.
