Bio
John Doyle is an Irish-American guitarist and singer, born in Dublin in 1971, who emigrated to the United States in 1991. He co-founded the influential Celtic band Solas and is celebrated for a distinctive rhythmic accompaniment style that reshaped the role of guitar in traditional Irish music. He has also worked with artists such as Joan Baez and Mary Chapin Carpenter.
