Quite Sane is the ensemble led by composer, producer and bassist Anthony Tidd, best known for his long association with Steve Coleman. The group is noted for a blend of hip-hop, jazz and political commentary, first heard on its critically acclaimed 2002 debut The Child of Troubled Times. A fixture of the Philadelphia jazz scene, Tidd has worked with collaborators such as rapper-poet Kokayi, guitarist Miles Okazaki, pianist Paul Cornish and drummer Sean Rickman
