Ben Harper & the Innocent Criminals is the American backing band of singer-songwriter Ben Harper, first credited around 1999, blending folk, blues, funk, soul, and rock. Long anchored by bassist Juan Nelson, the group recorded albums including Burn to Shine (1999) and reunited with Harper for Call It What It Is in 2016.
