Bobby Rush (born Emmett Ellis Jr. in 1933 in Homer, Louisiana) is an American blues singer, songwriter, and harmonica player whose sound draws on blues, funk, and soul. A longtime figure on the chitlin' circuit, he won his first Grammy Award in 2017 for the album Porcupine Meat and has earned numerous Blues Music Awards.
