Bio
Buzzcocks are an English punk rock band formed in Bolton in 1976 by Pete Shelley and Howard Devoto, who bonded over the Stooges and the Velvet Underground and made their debut opening for the Sex Pistols. Fusing pop craftsmanship with rapid-fire punk energy, they became a major influence on the Manchester scene, the independent-label movement and power pop. After Shelley's death in 2018 the band continued, releasing Sonics in the Soul in 2022
