Father John Misty is the stage name of American musician Joshua Tillman, born in Rockville, Maryland, whose work spans indie rock, indie folk, and chamber pop. He released his debut under the moniker, "Fear Fun," in 2012 and won a 2018 Grammy for Best Recording Package for the deluxe edition of "Pure Comedy."
