What's special
Treefort Music Fest is a five-day, city-wide independent music festival spread across dozens of walkable venues in downtown Boise, Idaho, with a large main stage at Julia Davis Park as its hub. Built around discovery, it programs hundreds of mostly emerging and independent artists each March and layers on themed 'forts' for food, beer, film, comedy, yoga and more. It is often described as the West's answer to SXSW, powered by a small army of local volunteers and a downtown that leans into the festival with murals and attendee discounts

The 2026 edition took place in late March across downtown Boise and broke attendance records, with organizers and local press reporting roughly 25,000-plus daily attendees and around 10% growth over the prior year. The program spanned more than 500 artists across the main stage and the city's clustered small venues, with headliners including Father John Misty, Magdalena Bay, Geese and Flipturn. Coverage emphasized the festival's discovery-driven, walkable format and heavy reliance on local volunteers

ADA parking is available at Julia Davis Park itself. Designated public rideshare drop-off is on the north side of the park on Julia Davis Dr., by the Idaho State Museum entrance not general curbside pickup
