Pedro Luis Ferrer is a Cuban singer-songwriter, composer, and guitarist born in 1952 in Yaguajay, Sancti Spíritus. Largely self-taught, he began his professional career as a troubadour in the early 1970s and is known for guaracha- and son-rooted songs that blend Cuban popular traditions with wry commentary on everyday life.
