The Steep Canyon Rangers are an American bluegrass band that formed in 2000 among students at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and are now based in the Asheville area. Among the leading 'new traditional' bluegrass acts, they won the Grammy Award for Best Bluegrass Album in 2013 and have frequently collaborated with Steve Martin.
