By car
Most people drive to MerleFest. The nearest major airport is GSO, and from there it is a straightforward drive to the venue. Check current road and traffic conditions before you set off, and see parking below.
By train
No direct passenger rail to the venue was found. Drive, fly in, or use a shuttle instead.
By bus & public transit
Greyhound runs a direct intercity coach route into Wilkesboro itself (stop: Wilkesboro Town Hall, 203 W Main St), with Greensboro listed as one of the directly-reachable connecting cities useful for flying into GSO, taking a short local hop into downtown Greensboro, then the coach on to Wilkesboro. No airport-to-airport express; this is a city-to-city coach, not an airport shuttle

GSO is 78 miles / about 1h12 by road from the Wilkes Community College venue, well outside GSO's normal local taxi/shuttle catchment (that in-airport service is priced for Greensboro-area trips). Uber and Lyft are both confirmed live in the Wilkesboro/North Wilkesboro area, making rideshare the realistic door-to-door option for fly-in attendees without a rental car. No official festival-affiliated rideshare pickup zone was found (see parking note below) assume standard app pickup at GSO's Doors 2/5 (departures) or 2/6 (arrivals)

Premium named lots last-published 2024/2025 four-day-pass pricing (2027 prices not yet released; official purchase page confirms 2027 tickets/passes go on sale November 10, 2026): Flattop's Lot / Main Entrance approx. $130, Beige Lot / On-Campus approx. $225, Front Gate approx. $275. Free ADA/handicap parking is provided at Lot H (127 Executive Drive, Wilkesboro), a flat paved lot about 2 miles from the main entrance, no cost, no credential-free access (state/federal handicap credential required)

One vehicle parking pass is bundled with a Rivers Edge camping site (one car per campsite; extra vehicles must park outside the campground). On-Campus/Orange Lot RV camping passes each bundle one vehicle pass into the combined price (last-published 2024/2025: On-Campus RV ~$830.35 incl. tax/fees; Orange Lot RV ~$775, both four-day, both include one RV space + one vehicle pass)
175 pop-up/van-camper sites at Rivers Edge, along the greenway/river and in fields, for campers up to 28 feet (can be grouped with other campers not exceeding that length); priced as part of the general Rivers Edge camping registration (per-site pricing not separately published registration runs through Eventbrite/YMCA, current cycle's page shows 'sales ended' for the researched listing)
