Thundercat, born Stephen Lee Bruner, is an American bassist and singer from Los Angeles whose music blends funk, soul, and jazz fusion. He has collaborated extensively with Flying Lotus and Kendrick Lamar, won a Grammy for his contribution to Lamar's 'These Walls,' and took Best Progressive R&B Album for It Is What It Is in 2021.
