Presented each October by the volunteer Laurel Home Guards, the weekend pairs the Saturday and Sunday battles with a Friday school day, living-history camps open to the public, appearances by costumed figures such as General Lee and Abraham Lincoln, a barn dance, night cannon firing, and a Sunday memorial service on the battlefield itself.
