The Bentonia Blues Festival is a laid-back, family-oriented celebration of the haunting Bentonia school of country blues, held each June around the historic Blue Front Cafe, the oldest active juke joint in Mississippi. Founded in the early 1970s by bluesman Jimmy 'Duck' Holmes, the free gathering features acoustic and electric blues alongside Southern soul food

Uber and Lyft operate across the Jackson metro, but coverage thins out in rural Yazoo County around Bentonia. Get a ride FROM the airport easily; arrange your RETURN pickup in advance or pre-book a taxi, as on-demand rideshare availability at the venue is not dependable.
